Kinyan Shmita

Kinyan Shmita gives American Jews the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of shmita. The organization’s target audience is Orthodox males who have no way of finding farmers and purchasing land from them, and want a process that is legally and halachically binding.

The Task:

Design and build a website that inspires a sense of trust, while highlighting Kinyan Shmita’s unique selling point: they are the only organization that sells trees, not land — and not just any tree, but the esrog tree, which has special significance as part of the arba minim.

Overview

This was an intensive piece of work; it’s an e-commerce site, and includes content in two languages. The work was complex, but enjoyable — and the end result made us all proud. In tandem with the copywriter, I created an authoritative and reliable vibe, so customers know they’re getting a legally and halachically vetted product.

Client Review

We really enjoyed using Chani’s services to build our website. We had a tight time frame and she was readily available to us with professionalism and comprehensive knowledge, even in areas not related to site development. The short time frame did not affect the quality of her work. She created our dream site.
